Now that many of the big manufacturers are planning plug-in electric cars for 2010, what type of electric car would you buy?

Consider that and electric SUV would be powered by lithium ion batteries like a sedan.

I would probably stick with a sedan as I wouldn't need anything bigger.

Lizzy K asked:

What car is good for converting to an electric car?
I'm interested in a car that is lightweight, has a manual transmission, and has room for batteries. I'm trying to convert a gas car to an electric car, and I need one that is light, has manual transmission, room for batteries, etc, etc. Has anyone done that and has advice/know a good car for it? I have a limited price range, and I need a relatively cheap car for it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Tony M asked:

The electric window to one side of the car has gone dead. It is now stuck in the down position but the other window side works fine though.

I checked both fuse locations inside the car and hood but none of them have fuses for the windows.

I've even checked the car manual and there's nothing about window fuses or how to get the darn thing up in situations like these.

I've even resorted to a pair of pliers to see if I could dislodge it. I'm all out of ideas - please help!

Well, I know an electric car doesn't pollute the environment at all, but you got to consider that it is polluting to produce the electricity at the first place. So, how much more does a gas driven car pollute the environment in one mile, compared to producing the electricity needed to drive an electric car for one mile?
