TRUTH IN ADVERTISING. I own a conversion. Unless your using lithium batteries,($20,000). This conversion won't go 65mph for any length of time. Certainly not for 40 miles. Someone could expect to travel 40 miles at about 35-40mph in a typical bug conversion. At 65mph, you'll get about 5-7 miles down the road. A VW Bug just can't carry enough lead-acid batteries to get 40 miles @ 65mph.

Did he mention where the electricity was generated and how dirty the process was making it? Thats where the polution was displaced to.
Can you image the blackouts when everyone comes home and plugs in there cars to recharge at 5pm and turns on the AC unit to cool the house in the middle of july? Who is going to install solar panels just to recharge a car? Wouldnt you need the solar panels at work to recharge it their while at work in the daytime?
