		<description>i&#039;m using a 144 volt dc motor that i bought from EVA (electric vehicles of america). i built the components to connect the motor to the tranny. i used the original clutch, but took out all the friction material. i made the adapter out of aluminum and bolted the clutch plate to that which connects to the tranny. then i keyed the motor shaft to the adapter. it&#039;s a direct drive system.

I figure that a single cab would be a good candidate for an EV conversion--all the components in the treasure chest area &amp; a good low center of gravity. Of course betles/bugs can zip around nice on seven/eight flooded lead-acid car typr batteries on around 72 volts</description>
