Old VW Find -1958 vw bus – found in NM desert – rare volkswagen discovery!
I found this impossibly located 1958 vw bus with safari windows that had been hidden away in the secluded desert of NM for over 30 years (since 1978). I bought it from a cool old hippie named Chris (aka santa) who owned the land. He and his wide toured Canada and the States in the 70s in "Glinda" the majic bus. superb i am doing this with my dads old 109 series 3 but its alot rusty er and only been of the road 7 years. Good luck

I miss my 23 window 1963.
I had it 10 years from 72 to 82 but it didn't survive NYC
I paid $150 for it in San Fran. CA

Great splitty rescue. Luckily the arid climate preserved it a little bit & made the effort worthwhile…as Neil Young once said "rust never sleeps"…
