lets see the 0-60 in 1 second and the top speed of 160mph
oh wait your wife might get mad @ you for ruining the only family car.

i was wondering if you hooked the coupler to the flywheel, the same way as i did on the geo?
good work, sorry you did not get the rateing that you wanted. it might have helped to get a motor with a higher rpm rateing. your motor will run cooler than mine due to size but i compensate with a fan. i am droping off the clutch plate today at the machineshop to get a solid coupler milled out. seems you are not getting much better performance than my truck. i am going to try the truck at 84volts.

Yes! Thanks for the idea of connecting the coupler to the flywheel. I got that from u!
I knew the motor would spin slower at 96v. ANY motor will. The diff is, I won't need to replace that motor EVER! And when lithiums drop in price..ZOOM ZOOM!!

It would be nice if blackdogfx would be more forthcoming on his conversion process. He could really help others with their projects.

when i started the truck i already knew the truck was to heavy but i had the 72 volt equipment in hand. what is the amp rateing for the zilla? i am looking at the kelly controler's i saw an 850 amp controler at 144volts. the price was $1300 more amps and cost less than the curtis. i should have the new motor soon

check out battery power systems/cloud ev the 100 ah are $200 and the 200ah are $400. the only problem is the you have to build a battery management system. i hope some one comes up with a chargeing system and i might start collecting them myself. 1 a month for 2 years

i have not looked at his vids yet but i will after this post. the car should last forever….. gm can suck eggs. i would have bought an ev1 hey even 2 and now look at them soon to be a memeory. well any way the car seems to run great.

The zilla has a 1000amp rateing. I have it set at 350amps to protect the batteries and get a 40 mile range. I did try it full open once. Got 60mph on a flat road. 65mph downhill with a tailwind. Zilla is no longer in production, so Curtis is one with the rep.
I got my GE-11 motor off ebay. They are built like TANKS! There are deals out there for used motors.

That's a good price! Lead-acid batts are pretty tough, so overcharging them somewhat is that bad. My Zivan NG-3 ($1000) BOILS those T-105's! We'll see how they hold up.

Blackdogfx DOES pick some cool music for his vids. Even if the are COPYRIGHTED!

do more powerful batteries (ie. 14v per) weigh more? i've noticed a lot of conversions with a larger number of 6-8 volt batteries and not 12-14v batteries. i keep wondering how most conversions seem to completely sacrifice trunk space. wouldn't fewer stronger batteries be more practical? no disrespect, just asking.

6v wet-lead batteries last longer and have more distance than 12v batteries do.

thanx a lot. one more question, if U don't mind. what kind of power sacrifice is there if i choose wet-lead batteries…or is there a sacrifice. again, thanx in advance for the info.

If u got the cash (I don't), get Lithium. Much more power and distance, a 1/3 of the weight.
